Accessing Email LISTSERV.
From the ETC website, wwww.etczone.com, click on the My Email tab.

  1. Enter your Username, ex: name@domain.com.
  2. Enter your Password, ex: password.
  3. Click Login.
  4. At the top, right of the screen, click on the Web Admin link.
  5. On the left side of the screen, under Domain Properties, click on the List Administration link.


List Options.
When creating a New List, select Allowed Posters from the drop-down menu.

  • Selecting 'Anyone' will permit literally anyone with an email account to post to your list. This could also expose the list to spam.
  • Selecting 'Subscribers' will allow only the list subscribers to post to the mailing.
  • Selecting 'Moderator' will let only the owner of the list control over the postings. It is used when you want the owner to review all messages before they are posted.

Naming an Email List.
Your List Name should be an abbreviated name of the email group you will be creating. Keep list names short and simple and avoid spaces.

  1. Mail List Name (Title) is the email address.
  2. List Owners Email Address will be owner's email address, ex: name@domain.com.
  3. Local List Admin (User ID) is your password.
  4. Check Disallow Subscription.
    This will keep your list Private.
  5. Click Save.


Searching for a Mailing List.
  1. Enter the name of the List to be searched.
  2. Click Search.

Modifying a Mailing List.
  1. Click on the List that needs to be modified.
  2. Click Add to create a new list.
  3. Click Delete to delete the selected list.

Entering Addresses to a Mailing List.
  1. Click on the mailing List that needs to have users added to it.
  2. On the left of the screen, under General, select List Users.
  3. Click the Add button.
    • Enter the Email Address and Name of the Members who need to be added to the selected list.
    • Click Save.
  4. Allow Four to Six Hours after the creation of your list for your information to be formatted by the server.

What is an Email LISTSERV?
An Email LISTSERV is a free service provided by ETC to Blue Website Hosting customers to develop and manage email mailing lists. View the PDF for setting up an Email LISTSERV.

  • Identify (email addresses) of the list members is confidentail, only the recipient's name is revealed.
  • Email lists and member contacts are easy to update and maintain.

Subscribing and Unsubscribing.
To Subscribe: Leave the subject line blank and in the body of the email, enter Subscribe List Name, First Name, Last Name. Or in the subject line enter, Subscribe and the Name of the List.

To Unsubscribe: Leave the subject line blank and in the body of the email, enter Unsubscribe and provide your Email Address (the same used in the account). Or in the subject line enter, Unsubscribe and the Name of the List.
